UMI Campaign

Cisco was launching one of it's first consumer products and we needed a big campaign to get the word out there. We approached Ellen Page to literally test drive Umi (think a better, cooler version of Skype for your TV) with her friends and family while we kept the cameras rolling. The campaign would all be EGC - Ellen Generated Content. Her friends, the conversations and the reactions were unscripted. 12 spots were released but if we had limitless funds to be able to color/transfer/mix everything we had captured, we could have made 50 legit spots that were all good. These are just a couple of my favs:

And here is the case study that shows the larger campaign extensions and activations:

Home Telepresence Pre-Launch

Before Umi was ready for consumers (or even had a real name) it was teased at CES. At that time it was called Home Telepresence and still had some kinks to work out. Here is the work that went out to pre-launch the product:

CES Mobisodes - Guidelines to Talking in Person: In a world of tweets, status updates and chat - people had forgotten how to communicate in person. These mobisodes were meant to serve as reminders to brush back up on our skills. There were 9 in total but this is just a sampling.
